What does “FREE Scuba Parts for Life mean?”
Free parts for life program covers service kits (not labor) for regulators purchased from an AUTHORIZED USA DEALER. There are out of the country authorized dealers, but the parts for life program does not follow service in the USA. These countries have their own service programs. So, if you purchase your equipment out of the country it will not be covered under the “free parts for life” program. Be aware that on line purchases MUST be from an authorized dealer, registered and have proof of this purchase. Parts for life is not a guarantee when purchasing on line.
The Free Parts for Life Program allows the customer to receive free parts when the regulator is due for overhaul. Free parts consist of the normal replacement items as found in the Regulator’s 1st & 2nd Stage Service Kits. Labor charges are not covered. Assuming the program guidelines are followed, the Free Parts for Life Program will apply to the life of the regulator and will significantly reduce the cost of ownership (parts can be $80.00 to $120.00 per regulator plus labor). This program is in addition to the standard product warranties.
Keep your regulator routinely serviced and in top condition with free parts for life…
Aqua Lung “Free Parts for Life” program
The Free Parts for Life Program is a commitment by you (the Regulator owner), your Aqualung Dealer and Aqualung. To participate, you must be the original owner and have purchased the regulator from an Authorized Aqualung or Apeks America Dealer. The regulator must be brought to an Authorized Dealer at least once a year for inspection or overhaul according to the below schedule:
Year #1: Inspection
Year #2: Overhaul
Year #3: Inspection
Year #4: Overhaul
Year #5: Etc.
To keep the Free Parts for Life Program active, both inspections and overhauls need to be documented. If an inspection or overhaul is missed, the regulator no longer qualifies for the Free Parts for Life program, but will be covered under the standard product warranty.
ScubaPro “Free Parts for Life” program
In order to participate in the program, you must be the original owner of the regulator and have purchased it from an authorized ScubaPro America Dealer. Regulators must be registered at the time of purchase and need to be registered to the original owner. For ScubaPro regulators to qualify for Parts for Life, they need to be purchased with each of the following items:
SCUBAPRO BCD SCUBAPRO Octo / Air 2 SCUBAPRO Computer
All equipment must be purchased within a year of the first item. The regulator must be serviced by an Authorized Dealer every 100 dives or 24 months from the date of last service or purchase. A one month grace period will be strictly enforced. Equipment can be serviced prior to 24 months if more than 100 dives is reached.
If regulators are outside the annual service then, the regulator will be removed from the Parts for Life program and will not be reinstated; it will still be covered under the ScubaPro limited lifetime warranty.
