NAUI Advanced Diver Program
Our staff at Deep Six Specialists, Inc. believes the Advanced Diver Certification is a continuing education course. Advanced training will give you more confidence and capability while exploring new diving activities, under the supervision and training of your NAUI instructor.
LEARN - PLAN - EXECUTE
You will fine turn your skills by completing a series of 6 dives:
Learn: Complete E-learning on line prior to first session.
Plan: Two – three hour academic sessions with your instructor.
Execute: Let the fun begin – You are now ready for your six open water dives ........
1) Perfect Buoyancy Improvement throughout your advance class is your goal. You will minimize your air consumption and feel more control of your dive.
2) Navigation while executing a 180° course, square and triangle patterns.
3) Low Visibility if you suddenly find yourself in a situation where you have low visibility, whether on a shipwreck or reef or in a quarry, you and your dive buddy will know how to handle your low visibility situation.
4) Deeper Fresh Water Diving 75’ to 90’ requires additional scuba skills and diver awareness. You will dive with a backup air supply (a pony system). in case you run low on air or have a regulator problem.
5) Light Salvage Techniques for Sport Scuba Divers Whether you are looking for an item that fell over board or your buddy’s fin, you will need to know which search patterns and what additional gear you will need to have a successful recover.
6) Underwater Exploration Dive made fun by applying your newly learned underwater navigation skills.

Classroom Location
Deep Six Specialists, Inc. Bring all of your dive equipment you are going to use during the Advanced Open Water class. Your instructor or a staff person will inspect your equipment. If you have not had your equipment serviced in the last 1½ years, you will be able to leave it for full service

Prerequisites
Open Water Scuba Diver Certification, Junior Open Water Certification or equivalent
Minimum Age
15 years of age. Ages 12-14 will earn a junior advanced certification

Student Owned Equipment
Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Gloves, Dive Lights, Surface Marker with Reel, Primary Cutting Tool & Dive Slate
Student Rental or Owned Equipment
Regulator, BCd, Computer, Wetsuit or Drysuit, Hood, Pony System with Gauge and Regulator, Cylinder & Weights.
Equipment Provided by Deep Six Spec.
Pony System (19cuft cylinder, regulator & SPG), Marker Strobe, Training Lines, Floats, Emergency First Aid and DAN Oxygen Kit.
Additional Expenses
Rental equipment, air fills, charter fees (if applicable), park admission, parking fees, lodging and meals.
Other classes to consider
Take your Nitrox class along with Advanced, and get two certifications during the same weekend.
