Intro to Tech

The NAUI Intro to Tech is also referred to as the Fundamentals of Technical Diving. Explore the hows and why a correct tech system is important, simple and functional.  You will learn gas calculations way beyond your basic Nitrox.  Academics will include learning to calculate MOD (maximum operating depth), END (equivalent narcotic depth), 02 limits (normal and contingency), how to use a matrix, OUT (oxygen tolerance units), and EAD’s (equivalent air depths).

Introduction in demonstrating the fundamental technical diver skills of very good buoyancy and trim while implementing propulsion techniques of the technical frog kick, modified technical flutter kick, technical helicopter turns; clockwise and counter clockwise and being able to perform a back down (kicking in reverse).

Upon completion of the NAUI Intro to Tech, the student is considered to be competent to enter into a NAUI Technical Diver Courses such as Decompression Techniques, Helitrox Diver and Technical Diver EAN.
